Warranty Terms and Conditions*

Sofas:

Exclusions: Warranty coverage excludes damage to upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions, color fading from sunlight exposure, damage resulting from rough handling, use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or inappropriate maintenance.

Coverage Range: This warranty is applicable to sofas, including but not limited to 1, 2, 3-seater sofas, sectionals, ottomans, and sofa cum beds.

Lifetime Warranty on Solid Wood Furniture: Berakhah Interior Designs (BIDS) offers a lifetime warranty against borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture produced by the brand.

Notification: Clients must notify BIDS within 10 days of detecting any defect via phone & email.

All Other Furniture:

Coverage: This warranty extends to all other furniture items manufactured by BIDS.

Exclusions: Excludes damage to upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions, color fading from sunlight exposure, damage resulting from rough handling, use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or inappropriate maintenance.

Natural Characteristics: The warranty does not cover natural wood characteristics such as variations in grain, color, mineral streaks, and knots.

Range: Applicable to furniture items including but not limited to upholstered furniture, solid wood furniture, coffee tables, beds, headboards, dining tables and chairs, and accent chairs.

Lifetime Warranty on Solid Wood Furniture: Lifetime warranty provided on any borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture by the brand partners.

Notification: Notify within 10 days of detecting any defect via phone & email.

On-site Services:

Commencement: This warranty shall begin on "the commencement date" or the day the client moves in, whichever occurs earlier. The client must report any defects covered by the warranty policy either by phone & email and provide purchase and personal details requested by BIDS within 7 days after handover or the day the client moves in, whichever is earlier.

Duration: After settlement of any claim, the warranty period shall be valid only for the remaining period.

Governance: This warranty is governed by the clauses mentioned in BIDS Quality Standards.

Repair: Repair shall be provided only after inspection.

Liability: BIDS shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damages to the customer. The customer’s exclusive and sole remedy under this warranty policy shall be as mentioned herein this clause.

Alternative Accommodation: BIDS shall not be liable for providing alternative accommodation during any repair work. Customers need to make their own arrangements if required.

Exclusions: The warranty policy shall not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of BIDS, including but not limited to natural calamities like earthquakes, cyclones, vandalism, acts of God, inappropriate use by the customer, normal wear and tear, surface with contaminants, failure or defects in the structure or previous coating, and any other external factors.

Claim Period: Any claim made in terms of this warranty policy shall be made within 30 days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage, or failure which gives rise to a claim.

Inspection: BIDS reserves the right to carry out inspections and perform any tests and may do so either by itself or by means of any person nominated by it. Prior to such inspection or testing, the customer shall not be entitled to perform any repairs or remove or tamper with any part of the product/service.

Completion: BIDS shall use its best endeavors to ensure that the repair work is completed as soon as possible but does not assume liability for delay.

Control of Repair: BIDS, in its sole creation, is entitled to control/monitor repair that needs to be carried out in accordance with all its specifications and instructions.

Appointment of Contractor: BIDS is liable to process and implement any legitimate repair or replacement request made by the customer within the warranty timeline in coordination with the respective brand.

Additional Charges: Any extra charges including work done over and above fixing the identified defect will be chargeable by BIDS which shall be borne by the customer.

Limitation of Warranty: There are no warranties expressed or implied under law, which extend beyond the terms set out in this warranty document.

Dispute Resolution: Neither party shall commence any court or arbitration proceedings related to the above warranty policy before completing the entire evaluation process. Under such circumstances, the warranty policy will be considered null and void as the issue would be sub judice.

Jurisdiction: In case of any disputes, the same is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Telangana.

Confidentiality: The facts and all matters concerning any dispute shall be confidential at all times.

Customer’s Responsibilities: The customer shall provide basic necessities such as a stool/ladder, bucket, and water at the site.

Decision Making: Any decision regarding repair (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized representative followed by an inspection made by the representative.

Additional Costs: The cost of dismantling, reassembly & relocation of product, wherever required, will be borne by the customer.

Painting Warranty:

Coverage Criteria:

The warranty applies to paint surface areas exceeding 500 sq ft, subject to inspection by a qualified representative from Berakhah Interior Design Studio (BIDS).

It covers defects and failures in the paintwork, including film integrity issues, color fading, and the formation of fungus or algae on wall surfaces.

Replacement Paint:

BIDS will provide replacement paint if the original paint code is available and not discontinued by the manufacturer.

Void Conditions:

The warranty will be void if there is evidence of water leakage, surface contamination, or structural defects affecting the painted surface.

Damage caused by fire, excessive heat exposure, corrosive agents, abrasive materials, or customer-initiated rework or fitting work after handover will also void the warranty.

Replacement Cost:

Replacement costs under the warranty cover both the paint material and the associated labor required to rectify the paint failure.

Gypsum False Ceiling Warranty:

Coverage Criteria:

The warranty applies to false ceiling areas exceeding 150 sq ft, contingent upon a satisfactory inspection by a qualified BIDS representative.

It covers failures in false ceiling integrity, such as board integrity issues, cracks, and the formation of fungus or algae.

Repair and Labor:

BIDS will undertake repair work and provide labor for the re-application of the paint coat to rectify false ceiling failures.

Void Conditions:

The warranty will be void if there is evidence of water leakage, physical damage, or the use of non-approved brands or materials in the false ceiling installation.

Duration and Limitations:

The warranty for standard quality gypsum ceilings is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of installation.

Limitations related to coastal area conditions may apply, where fading and chalking occur within normal limits.

Electrical Warranty:

Coverage Criteria:

The warranty applies to electrical work exceeding INR 50,000 and is contingent upon inspection by a qualified BIDS representative.

It covers failures such as short circuits, loose contacts, and voltage irregularities in the electrical system.

Replacement and Rectification:

BIDS will provide replacement materials and labor for rectification in case of electrical failures covered under the warranty.

Void Conditions:

The warranty will be void if failures occur due to inappropriate power input, water penetration, physical damage, or customer-initiated repairs by unauthorized personnel.

Replacement Cost:

Replacement costs include the expenses for electrical items and associated labor required to rectify the identified electrical failure.

Plumbing Warranty:

Coverage Criteria:

The warranty applies to plumbing work exceeding INR 50,000, subject to inspection by a qualified BIDS representative.

It covers failures such as leaks and manufacturing defects in the plumbing system.

Replacement and Rectification:

BIDS will provide replacement materials and undertake rectification work for plumbing failures covered under the warranty.

Void Conditions:

The warranty will be void if failures occur due to factors such as water quality issues, surface contamination, or physical damage to the plumbing system.

Replacement Cost:

Replacement costs include expenses for plumbing materials and associated labor required to rectify the identified plumbing failure.
